Kenner's Aliens

And here is the bag of Aliens we got for free along with the Aliens Queen Hive!

Yes, this is our third Bull Alien. We are building an army here. We also already owned these two soldiers (Hicks and Drake) but you can never have enough good soldiers. And there are lots of weapons in there.

Now we are only missing Vasquez, Hudson and O'Malley as soldiers but these were only released in the UK.

Kenner's Aliens

Also released by Kenner in 1992, was this ultra cool Snake Alien! When Isaac saw it at the Montreal Comic Con, he asked me: "What is this thing?!"

It probably one of the coolest Aliens figure ever! It features snap jaw attack and a constricting tail. The thing is also very tall and could almost pass for a living creature. Isaac loves it.

Kenner's Aliens

Another Aliens action figure Isaac got was this very cool Killer Crab Alien! First time ever seeing this one. Released by Kenner in 1992, this looks very cool. It fires two chest bursters but only one came with our figure.

Its a rather creepy Alien and another one in Isaac's ever growing collection.

Aliens Queen Hive playset by Kenner

And there it is... after years of searching for it we finally found the Aliens Queen Hive playset by Kenner at the Montreal Comic Con!

Released in 1993, this is the ultimate item of the great Aliens collection from Kenner. It features the Queen Alien, who can trap her victims and have them being oozed! This was the very first time that we actually saw one for real.

One vendor was selling it new and sealed in the box for $300, which is the average price on Ebay. The vendor next to him had it used, for $85. Sure it is missing three little pieces but still... yet something very cool happened. That vendor remembered us from before. Actually we've bought stuff from him at every Toy Con we went. Seeing Isaac excitement over it, he decided to drop the price to $45!!! We got it! And then he even threw in a bag with another Alien creature, two soldiers and lots of weapons! All that for $45!! Amazing!!!!

The Queen Alien and the hive are in great condition.  It still works. We used out Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles ooze. The Queen Alien is probably the coolest of the Kenner Aliens figures. Its highly detailed, tall and kinda scary. It has articulable head, arms and legs.

Montreal Comiccon part 4

And to our surprise and to the excitement of Isaac, both Sony and Warners were there. Sony showcasing the PS4 with lots of giant screen TV where you could play. And Warners with some of their upcoming games on PS3, Vita and XBox 360. We played the upcoming Lego Marvel which was amazing, Batman Arkham Origins Blackgate on the Vita which will be a day one buy and Lego Movie video game.

This year I gave Isaac a budget, so that way he decided what he wanted to get... in the coming days you'll get to see all of the toys he got at the ComicCon!

Montreal Comiccon part 2

As always, one of the highlight of any convention are the cosplayers. This also mark the very first time that Isaac decided to dress up and go. We got to take a couple of pictures.

Montreal Comiccon part 1

Isaac and I attended the Montreal ComicCon last weekend with some friends. We had a great time. There was lots of vendors, cosplayers, booths, conferences and people to meet. I have to say that the whole organization was better this year. I've read that 42,000 visitors went to the event!

Here is Isaac as an hybrid of Wolverine and the Hulk along with his friend Calixa, who's Babydoll from Sucker Punch. More photos tomorrow...

Flea Market Hunting : Thundercats!

We got another Thundercats action figure... one that I've wanted for sometime now; the eight inch Lion-O! Released as part of the Classic Collector Series 1 (did they even released others?!), this is one amazing looking figure.

Superb sculpt with lots of details. He has some cool accessories like the Sword of Omens (Long Sword), Sword of Omens (Short Sword), Claw Shield and extra posed hand. He has 18 points of articulation.

Here he is compared to our original LJN's Lion-O.

Flea Market Hunting : Batman The Brave and the Bold

Its not secret that Isaac and I loved the Batman The Brave and the Bold animated TV series. Lately we've been lucky in finding more action figures from that show.

Now we found this bad buy but sadly we don't remember his name... anyone can help?

And here's a look at the upcoming Happy Meal'sBeware the Batman toys!

Flea Market Hunting : Masters of the Universe

Yes! Yes! Yes! We finally found one of my all time favourite MOTU character... Hordak!

Released in 1985 by Mattel, Hordak is one ultra cool character. While Skeletor was cool, Hordak was better. His Evil Horde was also one of coolest concept as part of the original Masters of the Universe series. He doesn't like He-man... or Skeletor. Is his probably the ultimate MOTU bad guy!

Isaac loves him too. Seriously I'm extremely proud of finally owning him again!

Flea Market Hunting : Thundercats

We finally got the Bandai Thundercats 4 Inch deluxe Action Figure Grune the Warrior!!!! He did come with his huge mace but was missing his bow, arrow and stand. Still a very cool and extremely mean looking figure!

Hopefully we will soon get more of those Bandai Thundercats!

Lego Legends of Chima

The Lego Legends of Chima Gorzan’s Gorilla Striker is a very cool set. Isaac pretty built it all by himself. It features four minifigures, three of which are Gorillas. They are all well detailed and look great. Gorzan's is Isaac's favourite. There is also a a small vehicle for the Raven along with some sort of perch.

The Gorilla mech is big, fully articulated and lots of fun. It also fires missiles so beware you ravens!
