Flea Market Hunting : Cobraaaaaaaa!!!!

Crobraaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!

We scored these two retro Cobra figures from the 1980s. Sadly I don't remember their name but I do remember owning them as a kid. Cool figures and slowly but surely our G.I.Joe collection is growing.

YO JOE!

Flea Market Hunting : Star Wars

We got the original Kenner action figure of Luke Skywalker X-Wing pilot!

Never been a big fan of this figure. First he looks like everyone BUT Luke. This is one figure that even as a kid I rarely played with. Still we are happy to have found him... and for next to nothing.

Flea Market Hunting : The Brave and the Bold

This is our third Batmobile. I know its a little too much but we had to get it as it is simply too cool! Look at this beast! Superb! We love the details and especially its shape.

And here is a Batgirl figure we got at the flea market. Very cool look and silver suit.

Anyone looking forward to the upcoming Man of Steel film?!

We finally found a cool action figure of April O'Neil! This is the cool original retro look of April. This was actually the first time we saw her at the flea market for sale.

Getting more TMNT is one of our goal this summer!

Junkyard is a cool figure. Just like the other Playmates Toxic Crusaders action figures, its highly detailed and colourful. Hopefully we will soon find more! Missing from the image below is of course our Toxic figure along with his motorcycle.

Now we are missing the Mystery Machine and the monsters they released as part of this collection.

The original series, Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!, was created for Hanna-Barbera Productions by writers Joe Ruby and Ken Spears in 1969.

Flea Market Hunting and retro Alien

Guess which hunt is back?!
Flea market hunting and that's where we are going!!!!

But before... here's one of our most anticipated collection of 2013 are the Super7 Alien figures!

In 1979, prototypes for 3 ¾” action figures for the ALIEN film were developed but never manufactured.  Through our network of industry and collector contacts, Super7 has unearthed reference material and original 34-year-old prototypes and will now make these “lost toys” a reality.

Under authorization from 20th Century Fox, Super7 will produce the full series of ALIEN toys as part of our ReAction Figure Series (Retro-Action).  Each is stylized exactly as items from the “golden age” of action figures with approximately five points of articulation, accessories, and period-authentic blister card packaging.

THE ALIEN ("BIG CHAP") - w/ removable transparent dome, extendable jaws and glow-in-the-dark head!

RIPLEY - w/ Flame Thrower

ASH - w/ Motion Detector

DALLAS  - w/ Flame Thrower

KANE IN NOSTROMO SPACESUIT - w/ removable helmet and transparent viso

Skylanders Giants

Isaac had some money of his so we went around looking for something new and cool to get. Well his choice ended up being on the Skylanders Giants video game, this time for the Nintendo 3DS.

He already own the first one on the PS3 but lately he's been on a big 3Ds kick. Overall its a cool game and all of the characters from the first game work with this new one. What's cool, is that all of the level up and upgrades he got in the first game transfered here!

Easter & Minecraft toys!!!

As you know, Easter just went by... this year Isaac was with me.

A few days before he asked me: "Daddy, where am I going to be at Easter? Here or with mom?"
I said: "Here my love"
And then he replied: "Cool, that means that Coco the Easter bunny will be here!"

Oups!

Didn't though of that...

Thankfully before Easter I quickly drew a map of our place for a treasure hunt of Easter eggs Coco the bunny had left during the night... Isaac loved it!

Amazing news!!! Mojang and Jazwares team up to build Minecraft toys!!!!

Minecraft was our #1 game of last year. In total we played for about 200 hours. Isaac and I are addicted to it. We wear t-shirt, owns vinyl toys, and play multi players online.

Minecraft developer Mojang partnered with toy manufacturer Jazwares to produce toys and electronics based on the popular blocky world-building game, according to a press release from Jazwares.

The worldwide agreement between the companies will first produce products like action figures, plush toys and papercraft, which will be available for the 2013 holiday season.

"We are excited by our new partnership with Jazwares," said Mojang CEO Carl Manneh. "This partnership will help give our community a new way to interact with the game they love."

Jazwares has produced products based on everything from Star Wars and WWE to video game properties like Sonic the Hedgehog and Mortal Kombat. Last year, the company announced a partnership with PopCap Games to produce merchandise based on Plants vs. Zombies and Bejeweled.

Angry Birds - K'Nex

So we got our very first Angry Birds - K'Nex set, which sadly I have to say we're disappointed.

First of all, the bird isn't heavy enough to inflict any damage. The pig is extremely small and the K'Nex "bricks" feel terribly cheap! HUGE letdown...

Oh! That's where Luke and Leia jumps.

Lego Star Wars + Lego series 11 minifigs

While looking at what to get in our local Toys R US, Isaac found this on the liquidation table! It usually goes for $65 but was now $15. We had to get it even though it wasn't complete.

This is one set I really wanted especially since we recently got the Lego Hoth base. Finally it is missing everything from the bag #2, which means no StormTroopers (but we already own like 6) and the left wing of the Snowspeeder. What I'll do is order the missing pieces from the online Lego site and complete the site.

Great find Isaac!!

There are many new Lego Star Wars sets coming out last this summer. The one we want the most is the Jabba Sail Barge! This will go great with our Jabba temple and Rancor playset.

Also Amazon.fr leaked some infos about the upcoming Lego series 11 minifigs:

"With 16 new figures in Series 11 Special, the LEGO collection continues to grow. Each figure is packed in a bag 'mystery' and accompanied by special accessories, a base and ask for a booklet. Inspired by movies, sports, history or everyday life, this collection includes: a scientist, a female robot, evil, a jazz man, an elf, a policeman, a Bavarian woman, a waitress, a scarecrow, a barbarian, a welder, a mountaineer, a grandmother, a warrior tiki man and gingerbread."

Carrera Go Mario Kart

Isaac wanted to play with his Carrera Go Mario Kart race set. I got this for him on his third birthday. Its a cool set but somewhat fragile. Still we would love to own other Nintendo characters carts and maybe some road extensions.

Boys having fun...

We did lots of cool stuff recently!

We went up north with friends for some tubing on the snow! This was crazy fun and it was actually Isaac's very first time on such heights.

We also went to Centre de la Nature. This is a huge park in the city. It has lots of activities including a farm. Its there that we saw this cool Jack puppet.

Isaac is following my steps at djying. He is starting to be good at it. Here he is making music with the F1.

For those interested in what I am doing musically, you can check out my page on Soundcloud, which is totally free. You can listen to my music through streaming or download. Give it a try, it won't hurt!

In a galaxy far, far away.

The rebels have taken refuge in the mountains of Tatooine. After their last defeat they are trying to get things back in order and be much prepare for the next time.

As for Jabba, it is always an ambience of celebration at his palace.

Unfortunately, I didn't take any photos the war and mayhem that follow... that way Disney and J.J. Abrams won't be able to steal our ideas for their upcoming Episode VII.

A long time ago...

It is no secret that Isaac and I are huge fans of Star Wars. So every time we play with our Star Wars action figures and vehicles they are all over the place.

I'd say that so far we pretty much always continue the story we came up with over three years ago! Now the Emperor is back at the reign of the Empire.

Meanwhile Admiral Thrawn has his own team of bad guys. Out of hatred for Darth Vader, Prince Xizor has joined him. Thrawn has also hired numerous mercenaries and head hunters. His plan is to be leader of the Empire again.
