Christmas: Lego!

Yes, Isaac got more Lego for Christmas... now from me (previous ones were from Santa).

Lots of Lego Orcs mini figures from the 2009 Lego Castle collection. Got them online. We are building an Orc army.

And I got him a Lego Power Miners set we were missing.

This is set #8957, which contains 67 pieces and two minifigures. The green rocky monster is very cool. As for the robot itself, it reminds me of the one in the Aliens film. Its a small but cool Mine mech.

Christmas: Lego Space Police

The Lego Space Police Hyperspeed Pursuit (5973) contains 456 pieces including 3 minifigures. Its a superb set with two awesome looking spaceships.

Both are extremely fun to build. We especially love the Alien twins. The Skull Interceptor looks mean and vicious. Its one of our favourite Lego Space Police spaceship so far.

Christmas: Lego Star Wars

The Desert Skiff is a very nice set. All four mini figures are very cool. The actual desert skiff is simple and it is about 9" long. It fires missiles and comes with lots of cool features.

As for the Sarlaac Pi, we are so happy to finally own it! Its small but we love it.

Minecraft

As you probably have noticed, Isaac and I love Minecraft. We play several creation games along with a  survival and online multi players. In total we have about 200 hours of play so far... plus the numerous hours on the mobile version.

Here is Isaac proudly showing his Minecraft foam sword!

After weeks and weeks of waiting... we finally received out Minecraft Steve 6" vinyl figure! Its a beauty and goes perfectly along with our Creeper figure. We hope that more will be release soon. Maybe a box with some animals. Or maybe the Enderman? Zombie? Skeleton?

Shut up and take our money!

Lego Star Wars Slave I

I managed to find the Lego Star Wars Slave I (#8097) for less then half of its original price. Always been a fan of Boba Fett's spaceship but at $120 for 573 pieces and only three mini figures... not thank you.

Overall its a beautiful looking set but always one that I simply cannot recommend...

Twice it totally destroyed itself without us doing nothing to it. Its way too fragile... so much that I was going to crazy glue the whole thing.

Probably the coolest thing about this set is that it comes with bounty hunter Bossk, which is one of my all time favourite Star Wars character.

This set was released in 2010 to "celebrate" the 30th anniversary of The Empire Striker Back film. Its more or less the same as the 2006 model.

Lego Star Wars mystery...

And here's a look at the upcoming Lego Legends of Chima sets that were shown at the New York Toy Fair, needless to say that we want them all!

Montreal Mini ComicCon: Aliens + Angry Birds

Yes! We scored a Kenner Aliens action figure, one we didn't owned yet... Drake.

Our Aliens collection is getting really serious now. We own most of the action figures, creatures and vehicles. Check it out!

And we also got a cool Angry Birds stickers album. I used to love those type of albums as a kid. Overall a cool Mini ComicCon.

Montreal Mini ComicCon: Wampa + NY Toy Fair Lego Castle

One action figure I always wanted as a kid and never owned was the Wampa from Star Wars The Empire Strike Back film. For some reason, this was near impossible to find around here in the early 1980s. But now at the Mini ComicCon we managed to find one in great condition for only $5!

Look at Isaac making his Wampa-face!

My life is now almost complete.

And here's a look at the upcoming Lego Castle 2013 collection, which is actually more or less a repackaging of older Lego Castle sets. Isaac and I will be getting the Dragon Mountain (#70403).

Montreal Mini ComicCon: Wendigo

A mini Comic Con was held last December. Isaac decided to go and managed to find a a few awesome action figures.

First was this 1997 Toy Biz version of one of Hulk's arch enemies, Wendigo. What an awesome and hairy figure it is! This is our very first Wendigo figure so we are extremely proud it.

And here's a quick look at some of the sellers at the Comic Con.

There was also a wrestling ring with some matches happening. This was the very first time Isaac saw live wrestling and he loved it... we'll see if he becomes as addicted to it as I was back in the days.
