Isaac's Christmas 2010

I know that there is a lot of love from Star Wars fans for the Imperial AT AT Walker. So here are more photos of the amazing new vehicle that Isaac got for Christmas from Santa.

Scaled to interact with 3 3/4" figures, the Star Wars 2010 Super Deluxe AT-AT Walker measures approximately 24" tall x 28" long x 12" wide, is designed to carry a total of 20 figures, 6 of which can be used as crew for the AT-ATTMs head cockpit; the Super Deluxe AT-AT is accompanied by a 3 3/4" AT-AT Driver and a deployable Speeder Bike.

Isaac's Christmas 2010

And there was one big box left under the tree from Santa.

It was the Star Wars Imperial AT-AT All Terrain Armored Transport Vehicle recently released by Hasbro!

This is the largest AT-AT vehicle ever made!

It comes with a AT-AT Driver and launching speeder bike.

Measuring over 2-feet tall and over 2-feet long, this is probably the ultimate Star Wars vehicle.

The multi-level body has room for even more troopers, plus the articulated legs, and firing cannons. It can carry over 20 action figures. Yes this thing is amazing and Isaac loves it!

Isaac's Christmas 2010

And here we go with another gift Santa brought to Isaac for Christmas!

We both love Ben 10 and the new animated TV show is very cool! Thankfully the action figures have started appearing around here.

Like Spidermonkey, Ultimate Spidermonkey can stick to walls, swing, and climb with amazing agility. But Ultimate Spidermonkey is much stronger, a huge gorilla-like creature with retractable spider legs. His webbing is made out of the same material as Spidermonkey’s, but Ultimate Spidermonkey fires webbing out of his mouth instead of his tail.

Isaac's Christmas 2010

Those who have been following our little blog for sometime now now just how crazy my son and I are of the Fisher Price Imaginext collection. Its probably one of the coolest collection out today. Unfortunately most are impossible to find here in the cold north of Canada.

Yet Santa managed to get some for Isaac's christmas gifts! First was the awesome new Green Lantern jet kit that comes with a Green Lantern action figure! The cockpit opens, you can push a button to launch arrows from the from of the jet. Now why would Green Lantern need a jet? Don't know but its all cool to me. My son can't wait for the upcoming live action film!

Next was the the Riddler with his car! There is unfortunately nothing special about the car but Isaac loves the Riddler so he was extremely happy to get him.

Isaac's Christmas 2010

This was our second Christmas alone for my son and I. He is simply amazing and makes my life fill with joy, passion and love. I got him some cool new toys for Christmas, oups Santa did!

The first package he opened...

Featured two 7.5" Spin Master action figures from the amazing Tron Legacy film!

The first figure is Rinzler. He's one of the bad guy. For those who have yet to see the film I won't spoil who he really is. He comes with 1 Katana, 2 discs and 1 light staff. His body lights up when you press a button. Very cool!

Next was the deluxe Sam Flynn figure. His body also light up and playback key phrases from the movie. Our hero comes with 1 disc and 1 light staff. Cooler!

Needless to say Isaac loves both figures! They are extremely well designed, stylish and have lots of cool features. And we both love the Tron Legacy film.

Star Wars

As you all probably guessed that by now it is no surprise that Isaac and I love Star Wars! And most of our time is either spend playing video games, watching movies or playing with our Star Wars action figures and spaceships collection.

Last time, the Rebels had received a distress signal from an unknown source. From their isolated base in the mountains they were getting prepared to see exactly what happened.

At the same time the evil Empire had prepared its Troopers for a possible battle as they too got an unknown source telling them that the Rebels had discovered their secret hideout.

Emperor Palpatine managed to gather all of the Sith lords for battle. Needless to say that they were ready.

Once they arrived all the Jedis discovered that the signal came from the Empire base. They all activated to lightsabers, ready to fight to protect the remains of the Republic.

Sith lords were ready too for battle!

In the end most ended up dying fighting each others....

And what they didn't know was that all was actually planned by Jabba the Hutt who secretly had bounty hunters setting up everything!

Marvel Universe

Another cool action figure we got at Toy R US is the new Marvel Universe Luke Cage.

Isaac knows the character from the Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 game that came out sometime ago. This is yet another cool 3 3/4 inch figure from Hasbro. He comes with some kind of weapon 2x4 and a S.H.I.E.L.D. file with secret code.

It's been a long time since Luke Cage went by the name Power Man, and a lot has changed. He's gone from being an independent operator, making money with his powers, to a leadership role in the Avengers. There was a time when his bulletproof skin and super strength made him impulsive and short-tempered, but his recent responsibilities force him to think of others first before he acts.

Iron Man

We just got a superb Iron Man 2 based War Machine action figure at our local Toys R US. This is a nicely detailed and designed action figure from Hasbro.

You can change his head and he comes with multiples weapons. We are both extremely happy has he is one figure that we were missing and Isaac loves War Machine! The character of  James Rhodes first appeared in the Marvel comics in 1979.

Imaginext

After being released in the US sometime ago (in 2007), Canada finally received some Imaginext Glow in the Dark Phantom Shark Pirate Ship!

Isaac and I love the Fisher Price Imaginext collection so we were extremely happy to get it at our local Toys R Us. The figure and shark actually glow in the dark. Both a nicely designed and sculpted. The skeleton figure comes with a gold sword while the tail and mouth of the menacing shark moves.

The Last Airbender

Unlike most my son and I enjoyed the live action film based on The Last Airbender animated TV show. We managed to find for real cheap a 3 3/4" figure of Aang. Its a nice detailed figure from Spin Master. Now Aang has to face all of the monsters we own... and he's probably gonna need more then just mastering of element of air.

Lego

When I was a kid, Lego were not as sophisticated as they are today. Actually they were pretty basic. And unfortunately today, it is almost rare to find those basic Lego again. Thankfully we found a cool box at Toy R US of classic Lego pieces! 650 in total... of all sizes, shapes and colours.

What's even cooler, is that it was Isaac's grand father who gave him the money to buy it for his birthday (better late then never!). This will help us build our Star Wars Death Star and Cantina we wanted to work on!

Super Mario All-Stars

Last Sunday was Super Mario All-Stars day as the games were released for the Nintendo Wii in North America!

Super Mario All-Stars is a compilation featuring remade versions of all three Super Mario games released for the Nintendo Entertainment System (Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 2, and Super Mario Bros. 3), as well as the Japanese version of Super Mario Bros. 2, which is included in the compilation under the title of Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels.

This is supposedly available for a limited time only. The games comes on a DVD which itself comes in a superb packaging along with an audio CD of soundtracks of the games and a cool Super Mario history booklet.

Isaac and I are huge fans of Nintendo and Mario so we had to get this. What is awesome is that I spend most of my high school playing these games and now my incredible son is discovering them on the Wii. This is yet another very cool activity for the both of us.

Cinema of Fear

As far as I remember I have always loved horror movies... even as a kid. So it is no surprise to me that my son loves horror movies too but especially my horror movies themed action figures!

Jason Voorhees is one of the most recognizable character in cinema. He looks killer (pun intended) and Isaac loves my Mezco Stylized Cinema of Fear version of Jason. The highly detailed roto-molded 9 inch figure comes with full articulation and removable fabric clothing. He also comes with a Machete, Axe, Spear, Severed Head, Skull, and removable Hockey Mask!

As you can see here, the other night while playing, Jason ending up not only beating but killing most of our 12" action figures!

Lego

Here's some other cool Lego figures I recently found used for my amazing son Isaac. You might notice Boba Fett in there along with many Lego Atlantis figures and some others! I told you that our Lego collection was slowly but surely growing!

And here's a look at the upcoming Lego figures collection! Amazing! I sure hope we will get our hands on the Punk Rocker, Frankenstein and Werewolf.

Lego

Here's a photo of my incredible son Isaac with a cool Lego construction he made. Its an island for bad guys. He was really proud of it so I took a picture.

This thing is great! It features multiples treasures, a place for the bad guy to hide, a skull in the front of the island and even a pole for them to watch if any invaders are about to come! Lego are really bringing his imagination to another level and I love it! He's incredible!

Masters of the Universe

Another cool item we got at that huge toys store is the Neca version of Hordak from their Series 1 mini-statue Masters of the Universe! It is a beautifully designed and sculpted resin 6" statue of one of the coolest bad guys from MOTU.

Hordak comes with his staff (which is in two parts so that it could fit in his hand), his reimagined crossbow and a stand. He actually looks very menacing! The back of the card feature some awesome art. Series 1 also featured Snout Spout and Clawful.

Ben 10

For the Holidays a big toys store has opened near our home. Isaac and I went and picked up a few items. One of them was a Ben 10 Echo Echo Defender action figure that we missed when it was first released.

Echo Echo is a small white alien whose body is a living amplifier. Echo Echo can scream at ultrasonic frequencies capable of overloading machinery and stopping projectiles in mid-flight. It is a simple designed yet very cool alien creature from the Ben 10 universe.

Ben 10

As you all probably know my son and I love Ben 10! Personally I think it is the coolest of all of this generation new TV comic series. There is a new series out call Ben 10 Ultimate Alien and the action figures have recently been released.

One of Isaac's favorite new alien character is Rath. Rath is an Appoplexian from the planet Appoplexia. His name is a pun on the word "wrath" which means "punishment" or "anger".

This four inch figure is very cool and comes with a disc-shaped alien hero that can be inserted into the new Alien Ultimatrix.

Lego Star Wars

I recently found a batch of used Lego Star Wars figures for real cheap. Most of them are on that image below. I was really happy to score General Grievous and more troopers! Isaac's Lego collection is nicely building itself to be very cool.

Happy Meal: Star Wars

A few weeks ago, McDonald's Happy Meal were featuring skateboards (?) and tattoos "based" on the Star Wars Clone Wars animated TV series. We managed to score a few of them and here's the first two.

The Cad Bane skateboard came with a Obi Wan tattoo while more logically the Cody Trooper skateboard came with a Cody tattoo. I seriously don't get why they decided to go and make skateboards but they are still rather cool and fit perfectly for our Playskool Star Wars Jedi Force collection.
