We got this highly detailed super-sized figure for only $7 (it goes for $55 on Amazon!). With 17 points of articulation, it was meant to kick butt! Having seen the two recent live action films, my son is a big fan of The Thing... I mean who wouldn't?! Just look at the guy! He's awesome!
While The Thing easily became friends with some of our other big figures like our 10" Wolverine Slashin' action figure things didn't go as well with our retro 15" Godzilla.
The Thing (Benjamin Jacob "Ben" Grimm) is a founding member of the superhero team known as the Fantastic Four in the Marvel Comics universe. He was created by Jack Kirby and Stan Lee in The Fantastic Four #1 (Nov. 1961). His trademark orange rocky appearance, sense of humor, blue eyes, and his famous battle cry, "It's clobberin' time!" makes him one of comics' most recognizable and popular characters.
